2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS Factory standard

Summary:

Excellent

Faults:

None.

General Comments:

Great looks inside and out

Plenty of power

Reliable

Comfortable

Excellent for pulling trailers

Air conditioning cools way down even in AZ heat

Roomy.

I have had my 2004 trailblazer LS for 2 years this past July and I’m very pleased with the vehicle. I have had no problems whatsoever to date. The vehicle runs great has plenty of power for pulling my boat or quad trailer and the air conditioning can get to cold for me even during the Arizona summers. I don’t have any reservations giving this SUV a high mark.

2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Faults:

Replaced two window motors.

Trim around back window came out

Air conditioning vent do not work at all will cost a fortune to fix

Armrest lid pops up all the time.

General Comments:

The interior design was obviously not thought out at all. We cannot see by the interior lights because of there location over the windows. We have found that it is safer for the children to hold there drinks between their legs rather than use the cup holders in the back, where we are almost guaranteed they will fall out if we make a turn. We will not buy another Chevy, We do not think it was worth the hefty price tag at all.

2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS 3.0

Summary:

My advice is to not buy this vehicle if you want quality

Faults:

The engine stalled at stoplights. The second row seat had to be replaced. Numerous gaskets and weatherstripping have been replaced. The front bumper became discolored and was replaced. The rpm gauge worked intermittently and then it and the speedometer went out. The rear window defroster contacts from the wires peeled off. The right front wheel is making a noise on turns, but cannot be duplicated by the dealer.

General Comments:

This truck would be nicer if it didn't have so many quality defects.

2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT

Summary:

Except for the gas pumping problem, I really like my trailblazer

Faults:

Within a week of purchasing this car, I was unable to pump gas into the tank. I tried several different gas stations without any luck. I took the car back to the dealership and they repaired a fuel check valve that was sticking. I have since had it back to the dealer for the same problem two more times. The second time the fuel tank would not accept fuel and back-flowed all over the car and ground. The fuel neck was replaced. The third time the fuel nozzle keeps clicking off after a few seconds. The dealer stated that "we cannot duplicate the problem" and did nothing. However, I was able to fill the tank after that visit. Currently, I am having the same problem with the fuel nozzle clicking off. I will be going back to the dealer a fourth time for the same problem.

General Comments:

Except for the problem with pumping the fuel, I really like the car. The ride is smooth and the noise level is low. I have driven other SUV models and really like the way the trailblazer handles compared to other SUV models. The interior is comfortable, but I do not like the way the third row seat lays flat. It does not lay smooth, but rather has a lot of crevices and cracks that things you might be hauling can fall into easily. I have had several small items that accidentally fell in a large gap get crushed in the seat when I put it back up.

Have you tried turning the gas nozzle upside down when you pump gas into your truck? I had a car with the same problem and this method worked. You shouldn't have to do it with a new car, but it might work when you're in a jam.

I have had similar problem that is ongoing with my 04 trailblazer LT every time I pump gas into the tank. When the tank is getting full back-flow happens and the fuel gushes out from the line. I am talking not just a little amount of fuel that's wasted out. Does anyone have this problem to your Trailblazer? Usually when the tank is full the nozzle will click to signal stop so to avoid fuel spillage (gas top-off etc.) The nozzle gun did clicked and next thing followed the gushing in a quick. Any suggestions? I have not yet taken my car to the dealership for repair because after reading from ppl's experiences where recurring problem like mine still exist and remain uninvestigated. Please HELP... Thank you,
