General Comments:
Love this car. White with the red roman shade fold down cabrio... The car is beautiful to look at and my wife says people always give compliments. It is just a neat looking vehicle. Red and white interior. We don't drive it very much as we have other vehicles, but have not had a single issue. The electric fold down top is really quite cool and ingenious.
Cons: Not the most comfortable and interior feels like it is cheaply made, but the looks make up for it. The car was not very expensive to begin with. When the top is down, it's a bit tough to see behind... but you're driving down to the beach, so who cares anyway. Premium gas, go figure. Tiny = Unsafe.
This is just a neat looking car to zip around in... If you looking to transport stuff or own a sedan that will eventually get to 150,000 miles, probably not the car for you.

Doesn’t mean that these cars will be in good shape as they’re getting up there in miles. They are well known for being badly made. Watch Doug DeMuro’s video about a Fiat he reviewed with still fairly low miles which was already falling apart & terribly made.

True, in the UK it's the same, I've known lots of people with Fiat's, I have no idea why they are popular cars - everyone I know that had one said they fell to bits at a relatively low mileage and age. Their general reliability and build quality has always scored average (at best) or below average in customer surveys on new and used cars (search for sources, you will find this everywhere).
Shame really as they make quite nice to drive and smart looking cars, had a Fiat Coupe turbo in the 1990's, loved the look and drive of the thing, shame about everything else. Also had a few Fiat Punto's in the family, nice little cars, but again, just couldn't seem to stand up to everyday use as much as any other car.

Fiat will bring Chrysler down? IMO Chrysler has always been down. It amazes me that they are even still around.

That's been going on for years. The only thing keeping Chrysler afloat is the fantastic Jeep division. Sales are still pretty good with their cult followers.

We'll see? I think the build quality is good, although cheap in certain areas. I agree it wasn't built for the ages, though. I think the owner(s) is/are the main ingredient in the recipe of longevity. Mine is 11 years old now, gets used daily, & so far, so good.

With Chrysler or without, Fiat were never known for great quality to say the least.

You're wrong about the 150k mile part. It'll get there with ease. I saw one on Craigslist that had 273K miles on it.
