2003 Honda Accord LX 2.4 liter 4 cylinder

Summary:

A real-world Luxury car with a sneaky

Faults:

This car was bought about a month ago to accommodate long trips. So far, nothing has gone wrong.

General Comments:

The 2003 model is seemingly very quick for a 3000 pound car.

Very roomy interior.

The dashboard design is brilliantly laid out.

The seats have a very comfortable yet sporty feel, even for larger drivers.

No problem carrying 5 adults.

The Accord's 80 miles per hour "sweet spot" is perfect for Highway driving.

2003 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4 Gas

Summary:

A fantastic value!

Faults:

The Accord is brand new and was delivered in perfect order.

General Comments:

The quality (fit and finish) and the standard features on the EX-L are amazing for a car in this price range. You would have to move to an entire other class of car to get a package like this.

2003 Honda Accord

Faults:

Headlights do not light up the road. Twice in the shop already with no results. I drive before daylight and this morning turned the switch off and on 4 times to try to determine it they were on. No difference noted on or off in dark areas.

General Comments:

Former 1998 Accord LX owner. Loved that car.

I, also, just purchased a Honda Accord EX V6NV. It is my 7th Honda Auto. I have now decided that I may never purchase a Honda again. This new 2003 Accord has only 309 miles, and it has a cracked transmission case. American Honda says that they will only replace the transmission with a re-manufactured one. I have been, for the first time, treated badly by American Honda. They have said, "take a re-manufactured transmission or pay for a new one yourself." My concern is: If they already have re-manufactured transmissions for this new design, there must have been a lot of failures already. American Honda has changed it's customer relations; they now treat Honda Owners with little concern. Not what one could expect from Honda in the past. I hope you continue to enjoy your accord. I am still trying to decide what to do. If the dealer cannot assure me that they will put a new transmission in this car, I may let them repair it, and get rid of it ASAP.

What is going on with Honda. I got a new Honda last year, but now the transmission is down. I heard this is very common with Honda this days.
