1992 Honda Civic DX 1.5 4 cylinder

Summary:

The perfect car for anyone who wants inexpensive and reliable transportation

Faults:

So far the car has run perfect.

The timing belt needs to be changed.

Otherwise no problems.

General Comments:

The design of the Civic still looks good almost ten years later.

When the A/C is on, the engine is starved for power, but otherwise is very zippy. Everyone knows Honda for their great efficient small cars. The 1992 Civic is a great example of what a Honda should be.

1992 Honda Civic DX (hatchback) 1.5L Gas 16v

Summary:

A reliable car for single person on a budget

Faults:

Nothing has ever gone wrong in the 73,000 miles I've had it. It looks almost new.

General Comments:

Excellent gas mileage, about 32 mpg city, 45 mpg highway with a four-speed automatic.

It is teeny, causing a general feeling of vulnerability when Explorers drive by.

The seats are comfortable but low, so that grandma has a hard time getting in.

The hatchback cargo area is very small. Two suitcases fill it up. It's best for a single person or family without kids.

1992 Honda Civic CX 1.5

Faults:

This car cost $8,500.00 new and has only cost maybe $800.00 in parts for 210,000 miles !

Honda needs to improve their seats!!

1992 Honda Civic EX-V 1.6 SOHC V-TEC

Summary:

Who needs a Porsche when you've got an EX-V!

Faults:

Nothing at all!

General Comments:

The 125 horsepower 16 valve V-TEC engine is very reliable and quick. This car can be a rocket if it's fixed up real nicely.

1992 Honda Civic EX 1.5 SOHC 16v

Summary:

A car that sees no end!

Faults:

The body is not the most durable or resistant, in fact it gets dented rather easily and rust is a guarantee like it is with every car! Also the quality of the interior is rather poor and uncomfortable.

General Comments:

This car surpasses all previous Honda Civic models. It is the most reliable, economical (a real gas saver!) and the most durable. You never see an end to this car, the engine is always in perfect condition, no matter how many kilometers it has on it. This is indeed the best generation of Honda Civics yet!

I agree, the 1992 Honda Civic EX-V, is a great car. I bought mine at 173K, and I have brought it up to 176K (not a lot... But, I have only owned it for 2 months.) This car is one SWEET ride! The 125 HP engine runs like it's only got 100 kilometers on it. It handles OK. (I just need to put on wider tires.) It's fast, GREAT on gas, and comfortable. If anyone out there is considering a 1992-1993 Civic, I highly recommend the EX-V! (If you can find one ;)

It is a rare car.
