2004 Hyundai Tiburon GTV6 2.7 V6

Summary:

Great Mid life crisis car that your teens will enjoy too!

Faults:

Air Bag Light

Fan Switch issues

Blown Strut.

General Comments:

I love my car. The dealer has covered everything under warranty, and I am a second owner.

It is a quick, fun little car. It gets pretty good gas mileage, I average 26-28 mpg.

I do store it in the winter, don't think it would do well in the New England conditions.

Not a car for passangers, have to be careful when you shut the hatch or it slams them in the head.

You can't beat this car for the price.

2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 V6

Summary:

For around $20.000 - It Looks more exspensive

Faults:

NOTHING MAJOR.. But again I have a Automatic. Glad I didn't buy Manual because all I hear is complaining about clutch going bad. Maybe it's the car, Maybe it's the driver. I think it's probably both. clutch isn't the best quality and drivers thinking they are driving a race car. This is a Touring Sports car, NOT a RACE CAR Guys.

General Comments:

You get what you pay for mostly. I knew driving off the lot that this was going to be a fun car to drive for the money (about $20.000) and so far after 58.000 miles I have been right. I drive it somewhat hard but not racing it with every Honda or Toyota I see at the light, (which I'm sure most do).Having a V6 and not a 4cyl you might think you have a lot of power, but this isn't the case. The power is very good, but a Honda and Toyota with a little if any tweaking will most likely beat you with their 4 cyl (like the Si). I Love the way The Tib engine sounds from the inside! It really does give you a sense of power, You would think that a V8 is under your hood with the roar you hear. Wind noise is present as you drive down the Highway, but if you have music on you'll never know.:) Enjoy it BUT be safe. Good car.

200 hp 2.7se/ V6 6spd Tiburon; a great awesome car for the price!

Looks kinda like a Ferrari too.

Rear seat is just for show, as it can't even fit a child.

I'm looking to buy an 04 GTV6 with the 6 speed manual transmission. I have been reading the reviews, and it's making me a bit disheartened. I currently have a Firebird, and so I know what cramped back-seating is. I would have to differ with the guy saying there is no back seat, that it's just for show, because I sat in the back of the one I'm getting to make sure there is room for my children. I'd have to say it's just as spacious as the Firebird, at least.

I'd like a little more general consumer input on this car if anyone has or has had the same model I'm looking to buy (Can't trust the dealer, ya know... caught him in a few white lies...). My email is v0c4l_3dg3_s3x4y_l4c3y@hotmail.com only serious comments, please.

2004 Hyundai Tiburon

Summary:

Won't be worth anything when I want to turn it in

Faults:

Paint is pealing and the seats are fading.

General Comments:

Hyundai did a poor job and (looks like this has been a problem for quite awhile), at painting their cars.

All cars I have owned have withstood bird droppings and according to Hyundai, their paint doesn't withstand bird dropping and the droppings will eat through the paint if the car is not cleaned within hours of the droppings.

Also they claimed that all lower level cars will have the dye wear off from the seats, when getting in and out of the car. I reported these problems to the BBB and went to Arbitration and lost to Hyundai. They refuse to fix the paint peelings or the seat.

Yes, I agree to a point on the paint, but I still feel if you get the bird dropping off within 24 hours and keep a good wax on your car it'll be fine. Not Maintaining any paint on any car - stains will happen. Mostly bird dropping and love bugs (which are 100 times worse-In Florida-) Just clean often, that's the key.
