2002 Infiniti G35

Summary:

First looks says good buy, but long term a drain on your pocketbook

Faults:

The brakes on this car are gone and need to be replaced at 13000 miles. Infiniti of USA on their consumer line admitted they are getting many complaints, but have done nothing about this. The dealer tried to tell me that this is normal. I don't know about you, but I doubt you would think new brakes at 13000 is normal.

General Comments:

The car handles well and is solid. The overall performance is exceptional. The brakes work well, but lets face it, replacing them at 13000 miles is not acceptable. Infiniti sells their products on service and reliability. This seems to be well off of the mark they have set for themselves. This will be the last Infiniti we buy. Too bad the car itself had some good points, but as always service counts first.

True enough. Infiniti has admitted the error and are replacing the brakes if warranted. To those who experienced and paid for such problems, you are eligible for reimbursement.

Infiniti is really the first Automobile manufacturer that stands up and admits when they have done something wrong. Before the government gets involve, Infiniti is telling me that they are going to replace the defective part, or as Infiniti calls it a Campaign Recall. Could be worse, remember the Acura NSX tire debacle when the car first came out. Keep in mind, the more you spend on the car, the more expensive it will be to maintain!

2002 Infiniti G35

Summary:

Road Warrior

Faults:

Except for minor Manufacturer's repairs, the car has been outstanding!!! Kudos to Infiniti for a superb vehicle worthy of Motortrend's Car of the Year for 2003!

General Comments:

This car is Kickin'!! It eats up the competition with the ease and grace of a cheetah. Instant acceleration and responsiveness make this a formidable road warrior without equal. Best car in it's class as cited by Motortrend's Car of the Year Award for 2003. Get one, you'll be glad you did!!!

What manufacturers repairs did you have to do on the car?

2002 Infiniti G35 Premium 3.5L V6

Summary:

It beats BMW at its own game

Faults:

- Nothing yet, but it's still brand new!

General Comments:

- This car is by far the best sport sedan your money can buy. It's got a whopping 260 hp standard engine which will smoke the daylights out of any BMW 3 series or Mercedes C Class in the way.

- I purchased mine fully equipped for only 36,000 dollars. A fully equipped BMW 330i costs nearly 43,000!

- The handling, suspension, and braking are superb.
