1994 Infiniti J30 3.0 V6

Summary:

Fun to drive and very dependable

Faults:

Fuel injector had to be replaced (under extended warranty) at 85000 miles.

General Comments:

Love this car. For $15000 to get a car of this quality and luxury was a dream for me. The car performs flawlessly so far. Very quick, and very comfortable. I bought it used, it was a lease return, from an Infinity dealer, and they have treated me great since then. My only complaint is that the gas mileage around town is only about 18. On the highway though it jumps to 28, so I love to travel in this car.

I have had my 1994 Infinity J30t for about 3 years. Currently there is about 225,000 k on the car. It looks and runs like new. The only thing that I have had to do above regular maintenance, was replace a lot of parts when the timing belt was replaced last year. The total bill was aboput $1500.00.

My j30 has 324k miles ORIG. TRANSMISSION! it's a 1995 and its just as powerful quick and responsive today as it ever was. Infiniti is the perfect word to describe the longevitiy of these engines.

Oh really, because I was afraid of buying a J30 because of its 200k miles, but now I will change my mind. Does it have a lot of maintenance cost?

1994 Infiniti J30 Super HICAS

Summary:

Affordable and dependable luxury

Faults:

Have experienced a intermittent loss of power to certain electrical components, but these were fixed by pressing down firmly on the fuses.

Sunroof cable broke @ 90,000, but I was able to purchase the repair kit from Infiniti for under $150 and had a friend install it for another $100.

The leather near the driver's side window is cracking, but this is Texas and the heat can be brutal. I just keep her in a covered garage when possible.

General Comments:

I absolutely love this car. She has been a dream and still drives wonderfully at her advanced age. I recommend doing a full check before buying used, but if it checks out, stick to the recommended maintenance schedule and you shouldn't have any problems.

I own a 94 J30 and am having serious problems with the electrical system. The whole system will shut itself off completely when it feels like it. you won't get any electrical anything to happen when it's doing this. it makes a noise while it's off. don't know what to do.

I must say I have to agree with you. I recently purchased a 1995 Infiniti J30t, I love it and I swore after purchasing it, I would never own another car aside from an Infiniti. The only thing I don't like about the car, is the amount or road noise it throws. Other than that I love it.

It handles like a dream, rides like a Lincoln. The surroundings are great. The seating is so comfortable.

I have never heard an engine run as smooth and quiet as this one. The car has a lot of power for a four door sedan. Gas mileage is great. I have gotten about 19mpg in the city, I made a recent 400 miles one way trip to Kansas and got 26mpg on the highway.

I recommend the Infiniti J30 to everyone. It truely is the best car I have ever owned. I have always owned sports cars. I owned a Jaguar XJ-S, the Infiniti puts the Jaguar to shame. What amazes me, is that the Infiniti is much more luxurious than the Jaguar was and the Jaguar was a $50,000 automobile where I bought this J30 for only $16,800.

To sum it up, marks I give the car on a scale of 1-10... I give it an 11!!!
