2005 Jaguar XJR 4.2L supercharged
Summary:
Best car on the planet
Faults:
Bought the car with broken air shocks. Very easily replaced for much cheaper than the dealer was asking.
Sunroof broke at around 84000 miles, but it's not a necessity.
The car is flawless other than that.
General Comments:
This was my dream car for the longest time. I finally took the plunge and stopped buying cars that were older than I was, and jumped into the XJR. I am so happy I did. I have not only the nicest car of all my friends, but by a wide margin the most luxurious and fastest car they have ever seen! My friends can watch DVDs in the back with heated seats and dual climate control, while I cruise at 90mph, and it feels like we are going 50.
The car self-lowers itself at high speed to reduce under-car drag, and boy is it smooth. In sport mode, this car cannot be beat. Maybe if you find a car that is ONLY speed, but I have beaten turbo Mazdas, turbo Crossfires. Every Mustang, Camaro, BMW that I have come across. All the while sitting in the lap of luxury.
I was worried about the running costs of the car, it only takes premium gas, and it is a Jaguar. However the dealer is actually pretty reasonable, and VERY VERY helpful. I used to be a Chevy guy, but after my past two cars... I am a die hard Jaguar man!

Just where are you doing this racing? If on the street and not on a track, please stop at the nearest police station and ask them to shred your driver's license. There are innocent people on the roads, are you aware of that? Or are you too caught up in the my car is faster than your car mode?
