1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee SE Limited

Summary:

This is the best investment, vehicle wise, that I have ever made

Faults:

In this vehicle I have had no problems or complaints. The vehicle has been very reliable and I would definitely buy another one.

General Comments:

This vehicle has a lot of comfort to it, it looks really great and it drives and looks like it is newer than it is.

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.2 V8

Summary:

Best purchase I have ever made

Faults:

No FM radio and antenna doesn't go all the way up or down (problems incurred before my purchase).

The driver's door sporadically does not disengage security alarm. This just happened at about 160000. Seems like it is just loose wiring, I will find out when I take off door panel this weekend.

General Comments:

I have a three-inch lift with BF Goodrich mud-terrains and I can go just about anywhere I want.

I love the quadra drive, just wish I could turn off the 4x4 when it is not needed.

The gas mileage really hurts, I am usually around 13 or 14.

Everything under the hood is in great working condition and I love the VB power (except for the gas mileage).

Very reliable, and with good care I may get another 100000 miles out of it.

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8, 5.2L

Summary:

This Vehicle requires continued excellence in maintenance

Faults:

At 70.000 miles I took this vehicle into the Chrysler Dealership for a recall involving possible problems with the Reverse gear.

At the same time the car required a Serpentine belt, new battery cables, also the Air conditioner and Heater did not operate properly.

I would never have gone to a Dealership, except for the recall issue, however, I assumed that the problems were minor in nature, and that there should be no surprises.

Well, I was wrong.

My car was in and out of the Dealership for a week. The Mechanic who was working on my Jeep sparked my battery several times during that week.

The Electronic Message center was destroyed by his actions, along with many other electrical problems throughout my Jeep that still exist today. I have to keep one of my battery cables disconnected when the vehicle is not in use because of an electrical drag on the battery. The Dealership has denied all responsibility, by saying that"sparking of the battery by the charger cables could not have caused your Message Center to go out".

I am currently in the process of repairing all of the electrical problems through the use of a local mechanic, at great expense, in order to get my Jeep back in good shape.

I have lost all faith in Dealerships to service their products in a fair and just manner. Past and present experiences have finally taught me this lesson.

After reviewing some of the comments regarding my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, I agree with the persons who wish to file a Class action suit against this company who will not support it's customers.

General Comments:

I really enjoy the smooth ride and comfort of the long trips in my Jeep.

The lack of Service and Quality workmanship by Dealerships will steer me toward overseas manufactures.

I had a problem like that before. I went to a machanic that knows my jeep, and he wrote me a letter stating that my jeep was in a great running condition. I filed for court, but after I did it, the dealers lawyer called me for a quick settlment. They ended up paying me $3800.

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I-6

Summary:

Please buy this from me, before I roll it off the cliff

Faults:

1. Rebuilt engine at 100000 miles.

2. Relay switches and solenoids problems.

3. Oil leaks, replace valve cover gaskets.

4. Bad Transmission Control Module. Dealer says it's a common problem, but I still had to buy a new module and spend $60 to install it again.

5. Exhaust manifold leak. Firestone says it's a common problem with this model. Dealer wouldn't fix it, required welding.

5. New catalytic converter.

6. Gas guage always says I'm empty. New sending unit required.

7. Air conditioner leaks on passenger side floorboard, under the carpet. The simple quick-fix didn't work so the dealer wants $600+ to replace the housing unit. Screw that, I'll just leave it leaking.

9. Replaced ignition switch, now I have two keys.

8. Transmission Control Module has started acting up again, less than a year after replacing. Please someone buy this thing from me.

General Comments:

A gamecube fits perfectly in the center console after you take out the little bin.

A 10" MTX sub sounds wonderful resonating off the back glass.
