Faults:
Passenger leather seat is torn badly.
Driver side light bulb has gone out twice in the month that I have owned this Jeep.
Rear driver side passenger door power windows no longer work. Window can go down, but cannot go back up.
Extensive rust under paint.
Transmission takes several seconds to engage when putting into reverse.
Front headlamps have yellowish appearance, which makes lighting less visible.
General Comments:
I have owned this Jeep for only one month so far. Overall, I am very satisfied with this vehicle. It has held up very well for a 10 year old vehicle with over 150,000 miles. The 5.2liter V8 is still very strong, and the 4 speed automatic transmission is still very responsive. The leather interior has held up great for 10 years. It has not faded or cracked at all. The only leather that has any damage is the front passenger seat. This seat is ripped up from use over the years. The damage appears to be from the previous owner, not because of poor quality.
There are minor issues with this Jeep that I do not for see being expensive fixes. My biggest concern with the vehicle for the time being is a light bulb issue I am having with the front bulb on the driver's side. In one month, I have already gone through two bulbs. After I replaced the first bulb that went out, it lasted only one week. I decided to take the Jeep into a Chrysler dealership after this and bought a bulb that was the original bulb that came with the vehicle. After having this bulb installed, it lasted only one week. The low-beam light is the only light that is going out. I can still use the high-beam (brights), but decide to not do this since it puts other drivers at a disadvantage. I plan to have this problem rectified by the Chrysler dealership, and do not believe I will have any future issues with it.
This Jeep has aged extremely well with time, and I plan on owning it for several years.
