1992 Nissan 300ZX 3.0L V6 180CI

Summary:

Fast, quick, and handles like it's on rails. Oh yeah, it's sexy too!

Faults:

A couple of spots need touch up paint, reverse lights don't work, and it needs a front end alignment.

General Comments:

This car is fast, nimble, and easy on the eyes. It drives like a dream and the car is just beautiful! Just got it, and as soon as I fix a few little things on it, it should be as right as rain. Then, I'm going to put it through its paces. The previous 1 owner kept up the maintenance very well (I have every record going back to '93).

1992 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo 3.0L twin turbo

Summary:

Fun fun fun!

Faults:

Nothing went wrong with the car when I had it. But I put it in storage for the winter, and I lost my license during the winter for 7 months, so after the snow melted, I decided to sell it. It was also not being driven before I bought it, because the dealer had it sitting for a long time. MINT condition though.

General Comments:

So much fun! LOVE THE T-TOP! Out of all the Japanese turbos I have driven.. This car keeps a smile on your face ALL the time. To be driven hard, it takes the most skill by far! Very quick car as well.. no lag either, and it pulls very hard in every gear! (same as most JDM super cars)

I really wish I could have kept this car, but I lost my license so it had to go (street racing). No point keeping it sitting in my driveway for 7 more months, after it was just sitting for about 5.

I had an exhaust, intake, 2 BOVS, turbo timer Etc. With 5 after market defi gauges! Veilside kit on it as well! Very flashy car!

It really loved to kick the tail out and spin the tires! With a body kit on the car, it looks like a LAMBO! Great car, great fun! Gas mileage is not the best, but meh! It's a sports car!! It's not even close to as bad as a truck though! :) So be thankful! I won't be biased and recommend this car over another, because they are all great and have different "goodies" about them.

I will say this was the most fun to drive though! Gearbox was VERY smooth as well! One of the best gearboxes of them all! BY FAR! Props to a very well built quality car! 9/10..

Oh and just so you know.. I am a huge Mitsubishi Fan and Skyline fan! I had never liked the 300 until I bought this thing. It's a really great car! It changed my mind the second I touched the gas! :D.

1992 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 3.0 NA

Summary:

A blast to drive, and looks good too

Faults:

The clutch was replaced at 119000 miles.

The leather seat on the drivers side is worn on the bolster.

General Comments:

The 300ZX is a blast to drive.

The weight of the car helps keep it planted solidly on the ground, but the 3.0L V6, coupled with the 5 speed manual and rear wheel drive can make that weight get up and move.

The 3.0L engine really doesn't start to move until you hit about 3500 RPM, and likes to be driven in the upper range.

The interior is well laid out, with most controls at your fingertips. However, I recommend replacing the Bose stereo with a newer stereo equipped with a remote. The stereo is a pretty good reach away if the seat is all the way back, and the remote control overcomes that.

The steering wheel does not tilt, which would have been a nice option.

The climate control works well and keeps the car at the temperature you set.

Maintenance is pricey and not for the average do-it-yourself mechanic. Be prepared to pay 30-70% more for parts and repairs than you would a normal sedan.

The 300ZX requires premium fuel, which is a drawback, however I think it's worth the extra cost because the car is so much fun to drive.

I really love driving this car, and highly recommend it.
