1992 Nissan 300ZX zx 3.0 non turbo

Summary:

A street beauty

Faults:

I have replaced the starter and battery three times in 12 years. I seem to have had more serious problems here than most people I spoke to. I replaced the radiator and the clutch after 10 years. The exhaust lasted 12 years. The drivers seat is worn now and riped. The shifter and boot are shot also. The car need paint, but I pass on this. I have replaced the timing belt as needed twice.

General Comments:

I love this car and refuse to give it up. I am spending on average about 1500 a year in dealer repairs, but I drive it every day it starts rain, shine, snow, ice. The car has been great to own and still looks good. It handles like a go cart. I have a BMW 3 convertible that is nice to look at, but does not handle nearly as well as the Z. I intend on driving this car until the wheels fall off. It is by far the best I have ever owned. The engine is as strong today as it was 151K ago.

1992 Nissan 300ZX Two Seater Twin turbo

Summary:

Behind the wheel is a nice place to be

Faults:

My timing belt auto tensioner failed at 142,000 km.

Right O2 sensor failed at 144,000 km.

My starter failed at 145,000 km.

Several electrical connectors needed cleaning due to corrosion.

General Comments:

This is a true sports car at a bargain price. I love driving it, washing it, working on it and just looking at it.

This is not the car for you if you don't have extra cash or the ability to repair it yourself.

The driving experience is awesome. It has tones of torque at any rpm from 1500 to red-line. The steering is precise and has a very strong centering feel and 50 mph side winds go unnoticed. You wish the road would never end.
