2004 Nissan Sentra S 1.8

Summary:

This car is terrible.

Faults:

First it stopped on the middle of intersection on less when 3000 miles.

When I brought it for repairs, I also complained on the trunk lock and the slipping clutch.

It took Nissan 4 attempts to fix that problem and 6 attempts to fix the trunk.

Every time when I brought my car for repairs I complained on the sleeping clutch, but Nissan always denied that.

Surprisingly on 17000 miles they recognized that clutch slips, but noticed that it was under warranty only until 15000 miles!

I had also problems with tern signals and clicking sounds from the sterling column.

Problem with clicking sounds still not fixed.

Clutch still slips...

After several repair attempts I hired a layer.

By now my car has been in repairs 12 times.

Also, service people are extremely rood and non-competent.

General Comments:

This car is terrible, I will never buy another Nissan,

2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8S 1.8

Summary:

Worth the price

Faults:

Replaced the water pump belt. The belt showed no wear, just a made a little noise when engine was cold. It's been fine since.

Drivers seat showing premature wear.

General Comments:

The car drives great. It is well worth the 12,500 I paid for it new.

The back seat has no legroom for passengers.

Good on gas. It gets 30mpg with the a/c on or off, no matter where I go.

2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R 2.5L

Summary:

Great car, never disappointing

Faults:

Upon purchasing the car the inner light panel was falling from its place. Took a trip back to the dealership and it was quickly fixed.

I haven't occurred any other problems.

General Comments:

I enjoy this car a lot. I'm surprised that it can get 180 HP and so much power with only a 4 cylinder.

When driving in the city I can quickly pull ahead at a light or switch lanes easily. I especially enjoying the ability to go pretty fast and still make flawless turns. That and the car is pretty light so the engine never has to try very hard.

I think freeway driving is the greatest part of this car. Its hard to describe the feeling of flooring the car going up on the on ramp. The car goes into the higher RPM's and feels like you're going very fast the entire way. I've noticed at about 60-65 that if you want to pass someone the car jets up to 70-80 very quickly without you even noticing because the engine isn't very loud. My dad says if you want to pass someone its "right now" and it doesn't take time to speed up.

Overall I really like this car. I put in a new cold air intake and it gets about 26 MPG in the city and 32 on the highway. I would recommend this car to pretty much anyone. I read some of the other reviews where owners claimed that the car wasn't comfortable/too small and the cup holders were too small? I never remember thinking this so I don't know what was going on there. I'm 6'3 and have had no problems with the car being too small.

2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R 2.5 liter

Summary:

A fun to drive, inexpensive sporty sedan

Faults:

The trunk release latch needed to be fixed a week after purchase.

General Comments:

A fun to drive, reliable small sedan.

The power train is more than adequate for daily driving. Highway passing power is excellent.

The ride quality is a little harsh, a result of the performance suspension and low profile tires.

Although my vehicle has been mechanically reliable, the general fit and finish and build quality is not on the same level with similar Japanese vehicles.

Outward visibility is excellent, with minimal blind spots.

The fully adjustable front seats are excellent, snug enough for performance driving, but also comfortable for long distances. The rear seats are merely adequate.

Fuel economy varies, but is generally 25mpg.
