General Comments:

I laugh every time I am in this car. Its just so funny looking. On the road this car does not handle like a small car should. It rides fairly rough, but the seats are comfortable, but they seem very flimsy. I do like the gas miles, I get about 27 to 35 miles pre-gallon. When the rear seat is folded there is a good amount of room back there. I will never bring this car on the high way, it has a very hard time keeping up with traffic like tractor trailers.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

1996 Suzuki Swift GL

Summary:

Flat out, the best car I've ever owned

Faults:

Blew engine at 92,000 miles. But it was my own fault. Bought replacement engine with 42,000 miles on it, have put 50,000 miles on it. It still runs like brand new.

General Comments:

This car has decent pick up on the highway, don't believe everything you read.

It does have a slight problem when being passed by big trucks on the open road, it tends to shimmy and shake.

The gas mileage is tremendous.

Fold down rear seat provides a large amount of cargo room.

I Love my '96 Swift, but found that the CC pipe joint between motor & CC has cracked / broken twice. Once under 5 year Fed. Emissions Parts Fed. Warranty under law. 2nd time, got the joint welded / repaired @ a good exhaust repair shop. Was Not BIG Brand Name Shop. All of these places wanted to Change the CC. ($350 part!) Weld cost me $50! Has this happened to any other SS owners?
