2007 Suzuki SX4 JXL 2.0 liter gas engine

Summary:

Affordable AWD puddle jumper, but expect expensive problems over time

Faults:

I have had 3 wheel bearing fail, when the car had roughly 40,000 km on it. The car is AWD, and because of that, all the wheel bearings are sealed hubs and very expensive to replace; thankfully the car was under warranty.

The check engine light used to come once in a while when it was raining, or there was a lot of slush on the ground. The light is now stuck on. Normally I wouldn't be bothered by this, except when the check engine light is on, the cruise control stops working. I've had no time to take the car to the dealer to get this checked out.

The air bag light has recently decided (within the last 15,000 km) to light up and stay on. From what I've read on a couple Suzuki forums, the whole passenger seat will probably have to be replaced, and this is no longer covered under what warranty I have left. Also, however this is not confirmed, my air bag system has possibly been disabled due to one little red light.

General Comments:

Overall it has been an OKAY little car for the past 4 years that I've owned it, however these annoying issues with sensors have seriously soured my opinion of the car.

The positives of the car: Handles well, has AWD.

The negatives: The car is cramped; I'm 6ft tall, and road trips are living hell in this thing.

It has the smallest gas tank I've ever seen. I find myself at the gas station just as often as I was when I had my 1999 Chevy Blazer LT with a 4.6lt Vortec V6.

Slow does not begin to describe this car. You will not be winning any races with this thing.

2007 Suzuki SX4 Crossover Sport 2.0 (j20)

Summary:

You HAVE to compare this car before buying ANYTHING close to it - You WILL be impressed

Faults:

CD changer replaced under warranty.

General Comments:

Unbeatable value - My car gets 32mpg US on the highway and 27mpg combined use.

The all-wheel drive system combined with ABS, traction control and stability control and all the safety features perform perfectly in bad or snowy weather.

The car handles so good it just makes me smile every time I drive it.

Any changes since then or are you still in love with your car?

What is the consumption today & has it changed since your purchase. I'm looking to buy a 2007 as well.

Thanks.

2007 Suzuki SX4 AT/AC 2.0

Summary:

The best value for the money

Faults:

Nothing wrong. It has been a problem free car.

General Comments:

I purchased this car on December 27th 2006. After one year and 17,000 km, it has been a problem free car. The reliability is the most important car selection criteria for me, and I got what I was looking for.

The car is a good value for the money considering all standard equipment and performance.

The driving experience is very positive due to good road handling, visibility, suspension, comfort, precise steering.

I am a happy owner and I would highly recommend this car to anyone.

What would you say your average fuel economy in city/highway is?

2007 Suzuki SX4 JLX 2.0

Summary:

Very attractive design, surprising performance for a really reasonable price

Faults:

As of yet nothing has gone wrong with the car that can't be considered my fault.

I recently slid on some ice and hit a curb rather hard. The car came away with no mechanical damage, and only slightly out of alignment.

General Comments:

The car handles like a dream and allows to me to take corners as if it was a mid engine design.

The interior is very plastic, but not to the point of a General Motors product. It doesn't try to be more than it is.

Lots of head room, with comfortable seats. Was able to do a 12hr non-stop trip from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Kansas city, Missouri and did not feel sore afterwards.

Thanks for the review, I'm seriously considering this vehicle.

Did you keep the alloy wheels on over the winter? If so, I'm wondering how they stood up to the elements or if I would have to get winter rims.

I did a 6 hour trip in the same vehicle. My back was hurting after. Okay for shorter trips, but my VW Golf had much, much better seats.
