1992 Toyota Camry SE 3.0

Summary:

High Quality Vehicle

Faults:

-The spark plugs needed to be changed around 81,250 miles.

-Repairs can be costly.

General Comments:

I absolutely loved the time I had with my Camry. It was my first car and it will most likely be the best I've ever had.

I bought it off of a private seller who took excellent care of the car. It was in their family for over 11 years. Oil changes were kept up and all other maintenance repairs.

A few months after buying my Camry, I got into a car crash. Unfortunately my car was classified as totaled even though I did not cause the accident.

I know how special 1992-1996 Camrys are. They are all high performance cars. I would take a 1992 Camry over a 2004 Camry considering these cars have much less problems than newer models.

My Camry was fully loaded when I bought it. It had a 6 cylinder engine, automatic everything, sunroof/moonroof, spoiler, and CD player.

I would highly recommend buying a 1992 Toyota Camry if the option is available. It was the best experience owning such a luxurious vehicle and I'm hoping to find another 1992-1996 Camry.

You said that you owned the car for a few months, which seems a very short time to have a good idea of what a car is like. But I'm glad you had a good experience with it. :)

I've owned my car a few months, and I totally agree, you can tell the quality of this car the second you drive it. It is only my second car and it is BEAUTIFUL!

My 1996 Camry (standard edition) 5-speed, died out for its final time at 222,000 miles. The past 3 years, it cost nearly $1000 yearly to maintain, but passed state inspections better than most new cars.

I might have been able reach 250k+, with ice cold A/C at 31+ MPG longer, had I not been on a fixed income. The scrap yard paid me, and towed it free, on its last fail. No known major problems, just more than a few, after about 175k. She looked very good and had no leaks, even after her final failure to crank (for no known reason). It may just have been American envy (in the TN area, sugar in the Asian auto tank is the token hate crime).

Overall, Toyota will remain the family servant.

Power antenna failed at 195,000.

Rear right side seat belt not retracting.

General Comments:

This car's great! It is extremely reliable and just won't stop. My car was recently stolen and recovered as a total loss. It was repaired for only 400 dollars and back on the road in only a few weeks and running just like before! This car just won't stop. I feel like this car can last for another 197,000 miles!
