2004 Daihatsu Cuore CX ECO

Summary:

It is comfortable car, but the parts must be provided

Faults:

It emits balck smoke once the is switched on in morning, particularly in cold weather. Color of smoke becomes normal after few minutes.

General Comments:

The car met an accident; it hit a dog on motorway once I was moving at 120 kph. Apart from damage to bumper and radiator, the rings in the engine were damaged and these are not available in Pakistan. I am in a great mental tension owing to non availability of the rings.

Black smoke in cold weather is normal, it just means the car's on choke and the mixture is rich.

I don't quite see how the rings were damaged after hitting a dog unless the engine overheated due to damage to the radiator.

Did the dog survive?

2000 Daihatsu Cuore CX 0.8

Summary:

The need for smart people

Faults:

The things that are wrong is only that the main clutch barring sound that comes when you leave the clutch.

The second thing that went wrong in my car was the dipper switch blew up.

The back seat is a bit small to fit 3 big people.

General Comments:

The time I have spent on this car is one and a half years. This car is a very nice and good car. I have traveled to many places in Pakistan and I have driven it from Karachi to Lahore and then to Islamabad which is about 1,300 km. This car is basically as solid as the Suzuki's and other small cars. It goes on full meter at the speed of 160kms/h on the motorway. The price is a bit high, but the car is also very good.

Very interesting that you Coure can travel at 160km/h, I find it difficult to get mine to 140. Once I used some model a aero nitro fuel in the tank and removed the muffler from the tail pipe and is got up to 160, however the police pulled me up for startling pedestrians and I had to push it home.

I have found it difficult to get three large people in the back seat also. It is even more difficult to get them out again after driving over potholed roads for 5-6 hours as their extremities have gone numb.

The best thing about the Coure is that it is a babe magnet, just the sight of the Coure has them swooning and looking to test the suspension, if you know what I mean.

Of course you won't be able to fit three big people in the back. It only has two seat belts in there.

2000 Daihatsu Cuore CX 1.0 carburettor petrol

Summary:

It's a crappy car

Faults:

Rattles and squeaks from every bit of the car.

Engine noise that vanishes when the clutch is pressed.

Very high fuel consumption.

Dealer treated my complaints in a very irresponsible manner. Finally, I resorted to returning the car to the dealer. It is being marketed under the flagship of Toyota in Pakistan. Dealer is doing a lot of unethical stuff regarding these vhicles. e.g. the car returned by me has been sold to another customer as a new car. I would say buyer beware. Please don't buy the car for money, keep it if you win it in a lottery or something of that sort.

Thanks,

Mohammad Junaid

Hi to all. I have a cuore black 2000 model cl. I bought it six months ago. It is fixed with C.N.G 40 kg cylinder. It is a very good car among 800cc to 1000 cc cars. Its pick is very good even on C.N.G.The only problem I have seen with the car is the Dipper/Indicator switch which is very complicated and delicate from inside and is almost impossible to be repaired, and the price for the new switch is quite high. I have travelled on motorways with no problem, except for the inside space is very less. (Naeem from Islamabad)
