Tough little truck driven by a chosen few
When I bought this last June, I replaced the following:
Air-con, under chassis parts (ball joint, rocker arm, pittman arm, bushings, ball bearing), brake related parts like brake pads and brake disk, drum brake, changed the stock 45amp alternator and upgraded to 90 amperes.
Changed the speedometer, overhauled the engine, changed engine block to 1300 (because if has a cracked block when I bought it), changed the shackles, and all the tires to 29", upgraded the electrical system, the radio and the speakers don't work, so I upgraded the multimedia system.
Also changed the whole interior, sidings, reupholstered everything and changed the carpet and matting.
This car is indestructible. You can go to virtually any place the SUV is allowed to take you, and anywhere your tires take you.
You can go through flood waters at headlight level and don't get yourself wet; the rubbers and weather strips can really hold and keep the water from going inside
I live in the Philippines Manila area, and almost all engine related parts are abundant. Except for the inner CV joint and distributor, and for some body body parts like the door shell. Everything is easy to get 2nd hand.

I am going to move to the Philippines around next year and I am thinking of buying a second hand Daihatsu Feroza. I've been researching this vehicle in the net and found a lot of positive reviews especially as regards its rugged build and durability for off roading. However, I am a little bit apprehensive of buying second hand cars in the Philippines in terms of paper work. In fact, I am more confident about getting a reasonable bargain. How difficult is the procedure for the transfer of ownership? Do you normally expect the seller to have the PNP clearance or does the buyer process it himself?
