2009 Hyundai Starex Gold turbo diesel

Summary:

Car's acceptable, Hyundai Phil's warranty policy is totally unreasonable and not owner friendly

Faults:

Transmission control module went bad at approximately 45,000 km (just over 1 year of ownership).

General Comments:

Supposedly within warranty, Hyundai denied my claim due to missed oil changes. Reason for denial as follows:

"Non-compliance to Hyundai's PMS schedule. Damages incurred due irregular PMS or non-compliance to the recommended vehicle preventive maintenance schedule are not covered."

Problem is nobody at the dealership can tell me directly that missed oil changes directly caused the transmission control module failure, thereby their reason for denying my claim is without merit.

2007 Hyundai Starex 2.5

Summary:

Comfortable and reliable

Faults:

Nothing so far. The van is reliable, and most of all it is comfortable.

General Comments:

The Hyundai Starex is the most comfortable and reliable of all vans sold in the market. It is no wonder why that this Starex is so popular and seen everywhere in this country.

Definitely great for the family on long trips, or just for the city.
