2000 Opel Omega Sport 2.2

Summary:

Based on this one, I would never buy another Opel, nor recommend one to anyone else

Faults:

It's a piece of junk.

Fuel pump went bad, brakes went bad, water pump went out, stabilization bars broke. All this in about a year. We are not even in the Philippines permanently. We only come from the US once or twice a year for a few months at a time.

Replaced the stabilization bars.

The car was overheating and shutting off in the middle of the road. What a stupid concept. Yes, save the engine, but you can't just have it shut off like that, especially in the Philippines, as you can rarely just pull over to the side here. You stop, all traffic stops for a lot of people. I replaced the water pump, was told the thermostat was good, fan comes on, but yet after I drive the car anywhere, once I shut it off, it will not start for about an hour, after it cools off again. A total piece of crap car.

Sometimes when you press the gas, no problem, all is good. Other times, it will hesitate. If that happens, when you hit a hill, you have to put it in the lowest gear, and gun the throttle just to get up the hill.

It is the most embarrassing car I have ever had. I wouldn't recommend Opel to anyone, ever.

What's the mileage of the car?

1999 Opel Omega Elegance 2.5 liter V6

Summary:

Luxurious and sports tuned in one

Faults:

Nothing really went wrong. It was just getting old for me.

General Comments:

Nothing will beat this car for the price that I got it. All the comfort features I'am looking for are present. Leg and headroom, engine agility, fine leather seats as well as multi information display computer.
