2017 Chery QQ TE 0.8L
Summary:
It is the cutest, smallest, cheapest car in SA!!
Faults:
Nothing has gone wrong with the car so far. I know I had not driven it for long - but I can tell you that once you realize that the engine is VERY small, you should apply this car only for short distances and at a decent speed too (like 60 or 80 km/hr). It should treat you well, and keep your wallet rather full.
It is like a "student car". It is at least a nice car to look at and you can get where you want from A to B without having to walk.
General Comments:
It is a lovely car to park. It stays within the speed limits on our roads. Try to avoid highways where you want to be cool and drive 120 km/hr, if for short distance it should be fine - otherwise you will get rattles/faults etc. Remember it is built for local driving.
The car is noisy, but again - for the price and for the application, it is far better than to walk!!!
I love my QQ and will drive it with TLC and it will treat me well too ;-)
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

I agree with you 100%. My fiancé has one and it's the biggest piece of crap.
Spark plug leads just break out of nowhere.
Dashboard caved in and crumpled up.
Interior plastics crack and fall off. Everything rattles.
Shifting gears is harsh and clunky.
Shocks are shot. Handling is terrible.
Front headlights fog up.
Yesterday the alternator packed up.
All of this and more, and the car's got a full service history with Chery. We are trying to sell the car, but it's worth 25% less than what we owe on it.
I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY A CHERY OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!
