2017 Chery Tiggo 1.6 VVT

Summary:

Terrible, unreliable, uncomfortable, no value for money, expensive

Faults:

Gears slipping.

Steering grating.

Brakes screeching.

Catalytic converter blocked - farting smells... really bad.

Clutch kit - "wear and tear" at 38000, although picture shows a part missing on the clutch plate.

Power is non-existent.

Dead spot in 3rd gear.

The list is endless.

General Comments:

Definitely not value for money. No support from Chery. Decline warranty claims even though it appears to be a preexisting condition. There is zero support when it comes to dealers.

Bought the car. Dealer closed with no notice. Notice on the door to go to Renault Roodepoort.

After googling clutch and other issues, they seem to be the norm. I had a Chevrolet Aveo for 13 years and sold it at 177000 km, and never had to replace the clutch at all.

Truly disappointed that they are allowed to continue ripping off customers for pre-existing issues.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No
