2006 Hyundai Matrix GLX 1.6
First car before it was replaced
Brakes failed completely on first day
Gearbox very difficult to change gears or get into reverse
Loss of power, getting worse as I had the car
Car started misfiring
Rattling in Speakers
Rattling sun visor
Rear cup holder broken.
Total days owned car – 52 days
Total days driven car problem free – 0 days
Total days car spent being repaired – 23 days
Loss of power again getting worse the more I drive
Unable to pull away from stop, no fuel getting through, have to rev car and ride the clutch
Car missing and jerking
Fuel consumption EXCEPTIONALLY high
Exhaust leaking and very noisy
Although car feels and looks nice, and the added height a great advantage driving in SA, it simply is not worth the amount of trouble and unreliability. All the problems that I have had seem to be common problems, so why are Hyundai not doing anything about it?
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I bought the matrix 2001 model but so far no problems, its engine and fuel consumption is fine, now its two months and I have not replaced anything. I think you bought a very old car or it had an accident before you bought it. the car is comfortable and its real value, I bought it in Namibia where I work. reach me on email@example.com.

I have got a car; Hyundai matrix 2008 and now gone 2000 km.
No problem and I mean it's a good car at this price. I know other people have matrix in Denmark and they are satisfied.

It's a beautiful car. I got black rims and long black door guards and tints and it looks really good. Plus I've had it for 3 years and not a single problem... But engaging reverse is really hard sometimes. It's still pretty quick.
