2007 Ford Focus Zetec 1.8 petrol
Summary:
Not bad
Faults:
Lots, but mostly wear and tear. Biggest and most expensive issues were the clutch failing, and the engine management light would come on requiring expensive diagnostics. Then major rust killed it off at MOT time.
General Comments:
The Focus is pretty much as average as cars get. Not bad. But not great either.
Fun to drive, handling was sharp. Performance OK, and did about 36 mpg on petrol.
Interior comfortable. Seat and material quality OK. Spacious as well.
Would have liked it to last a bit longer.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

Guy that lives next to me has a 2008 Focus in white. It looks like it has been held together by rust. Like swiss cheese, no exaggeration. He said himself it will not last another year/MOT.
Older cars now yes, but I think Ford took a leaf from the Mazda book of anti corrosion treatment (ie. non existent) from this time period of cars!
