2003 Acura RSX Premium from North America

Summary:

Excellent

Faults:

A broken piece of plastic in the door panel: Fixed and have never had another issue.

General Comments:

Very happy with the car. It's fun to drive, economical if I am, and has some 'oomph' when it needs it.

Very good car.

2003 Acura RSX Type s 2.0L from North America

Faults:

My check engine light stayed on, all I needed was O2 sensor the warranty covered that.

General Comments:

I want to buy an air intake kit for my car. However I'm not sure which brand (K&N or AME) to get? I am also wondering about the types of kits, short ram, cold air, and AME v2 induction system. Which one is better? and is it much better?

I own a 2003 RSX type S with a K&N typhoon air intake and a Bola exhaust system. This combo works sounds and works great, DC sport headers and a Hon data chip will be the next improvements. This car rocks and is a blast to drive as I'm sure you already know!

2003 Acura RSX Base Sport Coupe 2.0L ivtec from North America

Summary:

It is a fast, agile, great gas mileage car

Faults:

Absolutely Nothing! I haven't had the car very long, but if I just keep up on maintanance the car will purr every time I start it up.

General Comments:

The car has quick pickup and races to where I need to go. It is reliable, easy to work on, and what a better way to show off when you're driving in an Acura.

2003 Acura RSX Type S 2.0 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

Practical Luxury Sports Coupe

Faults:

Nothing so far. Flawless reliability I expected from a Honda/Acura product.

General Comments:

Fantastic little sports coupe. Plenty of standard features that are options on more expensive cars.

Handling is superb, regardless of the FWD layout.

Simple clean good looks. No racy, spoilers, splitters, or exaggerated lines.

Effortless acceleration in any gear. VTEC is amazing... winding the car up in the lower gears is hard to resist.

Beautiful interior, excellent driving position, well bolstered sport seats.

Six speed transmission is a pleasure to use.

Hatchback design makes this/that more practical.

Aftermarket tuning options are endless.

A few negatives of course:

Stock tires need more grip.

Engine lacks needed torque.

2003 Acura RSX Type S 2.0 from North America

Summary:

Ever have an adolescent stare at your vehicle in awe. Buy this car and find out

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

Very well appointed, it comes loaded with everything that is normally considered optional.

Bose stereo is extremely nice, you really have to crank it up though to hear it when windows and hatch are open.

Watch your rpm's though, it really charges up fast past 4000 rpms. I've hit the rev limiter twice without meaning to. Yikes! Very fun though.

Very satisfying to dust off cars costing twice as much and less well equipped.

2003 Acura RSX Type S 2.0 from North America

Summary:

The best car I've ever owned

Faults:

Front auto-lock hubs going out for the third time.

Front axle seals seeping again. Changed at 60k with 113 on it presently and they look like they're going again.

General Comments:

Overall the S-10 was just a good vehicle, not great, but good. I put a lot of miles on it in a relatively short period of time and it performed well with a minimum of hassle. But in the end it used too much gas (17MPG Highway) and it was showing it's age.

What are you talking about??

The s-10 or the RSX-s your review is very confusing.

Sounds like he is talking about an S-10. I do know an RSX does not have "locking hubs"

2003 Acura RSX Type-S 2.0L I-VTec from North America

Summary:

Best performance to price ratio

Faults:

Nothing

3rd gear hard to shift into when cold.

General Comments:

-Fast car, but you cannot feel the torque. Handles great, but very noisy.

-The heated seats heat up too quickly. Must be turned off after a few minutes.

The tires (Michelin) really suck.

-Smells like burnt rubber (probably the brakes) after reving the engine.

Back to the 3rd Gear:does anyone have that problem too?

Bottom line: Sporty car, that still remain inconspicuous. (A lot of losers with v6 Camry's Pontiac Sun-fire test me.

This car is quicker than a BMW 330 (0 to 60).

How does it compare to the type R performance wise. (quicker or slower?)
