To the owner of the MDX:

Here's an idea: You bought the car used with no information of its history or maintenance record. Honda-Acura shouldn't have to pay for any of the problems you're having with it based on that alone. If you bought it brand new and were having these problems, then that would be a different story. Sorry to say this, but you really have no argument.

Owner: 2000 Acura TL - Nothing but trouble on the trans. It made it to 145K and it looks like it will be getting a rebuilt today. Brakes have always been an issue as well. This is my wife's car and we can't afford to fix it. I have a 1999 Ford with 276K on the original exhaust, trans, and engine. "Go Ford". Can anyone steer us to a support call to help pay for this low mileage mishap? razor582003@yahoo.com

I own 2001 Honda Odyssey and 2000Acura TL. The Odyssey transmission (85,000 miles) went out July 2010. It cost me $2700 to rebuilt it. The Acura

2000TL (120,000 miles) transmission went out Jan. 2011. It cost me $2700 to rebuild.

What's happen to Honda's cars? They all got same problems. You pay a lot of money to buy these cars. You always pay expensive to maintain them. It still breaks down. So frustrated. I have another 2009 Accord and a 2004 Camry. I start to worry about these cars. They are not reliable anymore after these happened, and I read these posts.

Stay away from the Acura TL! You have been warned, this is one of Honda's worst, along with the Odyssey.

People think Honda's are infallible, which is very far from the truth. Their quality has gone down since 2000, and they are now making disposable junk, just like all the other companies, except you still pay high prices.

Pre 2000 Honda's are still a good buy if well maintained, but stay away from the newer ones, they are really cheap.

Honda now sells cars on reputation only, there is no quality to be seen in their newer cars, worse than Hyundai even.

Just to let you know, my girlfriends 2004 Accord is sitting in the driveway, needing a new transmission and it's not covered by warranty, has 90k on it.

Biggest waste of money ever!

I have an Acura 3.2 TL.

I am having the same problem that all others have. I have a car warranty and am not covered for a complete rebuild. If anybody knows about that cars.com warranty, please mail me for negotiations. They are giving 1200 for 3600 charges.

Really this car sucks. My mail id is gdfrnd.11@gmail.com.
