I replaced the Control Arm Bushings once at 200000 again at 228000.
I replaced the Struts at 228000.
I replaced the rear brakes, rotors, e-brake cables, LR inner CV boot and differential seal.
I replaced the clutch, rear main seal, Timing belt, cam and crank seals, water pump, valve cover gasket, thermostat at 200000.
I had a problem with the air flow meter at 224000. I also replaced the injectors at this time to remedy a hot start problem.
I replaced the power steering rack at 226000.
The drivers seat is very worn and ripped and the seat heater gave out.
I have also replaced countless little items that were worn, missing, broken, and such.
Over all this car has been excellent. It's not super fast and it has a heavy amount of under steer.
But it has never left me stranded and continues to perform quite well.
Though I wish it had a turbo for the mountain trips.
But the Quattro system is super.
The car has a surprising amount of passenger room. Especially for such a small car, but the trunk is over taken by the gas tank.
I am interested in the comments regarding a hot start problem with the Audi 90 Quattro. I have the 10v 1989 2.3 90 Q (53,000 miles). Full service history etc, but suffering from a very bad hot start problem. I noticed your post citing new injectors to cure this. Can you give me any more details, since I do not want to replace mine unless the symptoms are the same!?
Thanks in advance.
Hey there...I'm having a hot start problem as well! I'm at 200000 miles however! Did you by chance figure out weather or not replacing the injectors was the solution? Any help would be appreciated! performancerally@gmail.com
thanks.
