1999 BMW 3 Series 323i review from Australia and New Zealand
"Nice car! Great to drive!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
PCV valve, rocker cover gasket, various pipes/tubes over the last year, sunroof shade.
The last thing I replaced was the fuel pump. My BMW broke down in front of Melbourne Mercedes Benz. Maybe it was a sign..
Currently it's leaking coolant (I think I may be up for a new radiator) and it's got a slight drip of transmission (I think) fluid.
General comments?
Since buying it, I have installed an Alpine fold out DVD system, replaced the stock 16" OEM wheels with 20" Dolce chrome wheels and added a pod-style air filter.
Despite its mileage, it still drives like a dream and looks great, and definitely gets attention!
The car is a bit too small for my liking, Currently I'm looking for a 1998+ 530i+, 740i or IL or even an X5, so I can finally get some 24" wheels ;-)
Either way it's a great car, and I don't mind paying top dollar to keep it on the road. The guys at the BMW dealership are great!
