2008 BMW 6 Series 635d Sport 3.0L turbo diesel from UK and Ireland
Summary:
Fantastic looking, and 40mpg
Faults:
The only thing that has gone wrong with the car since I've had it, is the windscreen washers were blocked up; these were replaced by BMW under warranty.
General Comments:
The car is very smooth. You can't tell the engine is a diesel.
The MPG is fantastic for such a big car, even when accelerating.
The quality of the interior is first rate.
The range on a tank is about 500 miles, which is brilliant.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

This is a 635d from the UK. In Europe, the 6 Series is available with a 3.0L straight six turbo diesel, which is entirely capable of 40mpg UK. Note that UK gallons are larger than US gallons, so 40mpg UK is 33mpg US.

The 635d has a 6 cylinder diesel engine, that's how it can do 40mpg+.

40 MPG? How? This car has a V8!! And the M Sport version has a V10!! There is no way a 6 series gets 40 MPG.
