2008 BMW 7 Series 750 Li 4.8 V8 from North America

Summary:

Excellent!

Faults:

Nothing!

General Comments:

This car is the epitome of luxury! I upgraded from an X5 and 540i to this monster of a vehicle! What a change in performance, it is a combo of both of my previously owned Bimmers. The back seat is a couch, and the rest of the car is pure luxury. No toying around with the driving experience or interior features.

Anyone complaining doesn't need one anyway, and should buy a Lexus or Caddy! Safety and comfort alone with smooth driving, a must have if it's within your budget!

Sounds like you just purchased the car at the moment of the review. So can't say 'nothing' at faults, rather choose N/A.

Summary:

Wonderful, yet flawed -- an automotive Jekyll and Hyde

Faults:

Absolutely nothing.

General Comments:

Ridiculous.

I also own a 2005 Audi A8L -- I have a bit of a thing for huge limousines with handling prowess -- and I can say, without any doubt, this is the best handling sedan I've ever used. I've had M5's, M3's, older E38 740's, an LS400, an S-Type, and an S600. No other car its size has impressed me as much as the big 7.

The car's design, however, is where I see fault. The flame-surfaced exterior is complex and busy -- compare it to the E38, where no busyness is to be found, and simplicity is equal to beauty. The interior quality trails that of the class-leading A8, S-Class and LS, all of which have stunning interiors. The 7's liberal use of plasticky wood and a few rough plastics reduce the otherwise pleasurable tactility of the interior, which features superb leathers and the best seats short of a Porsche 911 GT3.
