1991 Buick Regal ltd review from North America
"Good car, but constant headache with brakes"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front brake pads need replacement every 25,000 Km. Note it is not my driving style, but rather a car defect. I don't have this problem with my other cars.
ABS master cylinder was replaced twice under warranty. The cost was $5000 CAD if I had to pay for it each time.
ABS & check engine light on for years, but car still drives fine.
General comments?
Car is good except for the brake problems from day one. The dealer & GM said that pad wear (even at 20,000 km) is considered normal! I've spoken to other Regal w/ABS owners (in parking lots) and tell me the same story. Seems like GM supplied a poor quality ABS unit.
