I think GM had a recall for the cavalier a few months ago and I think it was on the steering. Cavaliers and Impala's are good vehicles, but the Impala is better.

I have a new 2003 cavalier which I am leasing and only had it for 5 months now. I have had nothing but little problems since I got the car. First the hinge on the door kept knocking after month, then there was a knocking sound in the back of the car which the dealer fixed and told me it was the sway bars. Now I have this annoying loud rattling in my dash somewhere that even music won't drown out! I'm getting this problem looked at soon. The worst thing is that all these problems are associated with old cars and this one is brand new. I know other owners of this type of car that have the same rattling noise in the dash and I'm not sure if it is a problem with Cavaliers or not. I'm glad its just a lease cause I know for sure I will not keep this car or ever get another GM vehicle.

NOTHING, but PROBLEMS!

Our 1999 Z24 is a hassle. Our computer started to go, which impacted our fuel pump. The car would only start sometimes, then other times it wouldn't because the computer would not recognize the fuel pump, resulting in us not being able to start the car. We are in the process of replacing our computer for a brand new one, which is going to cost close to $1000.00 CAD!!!

We've had to completely replace our coils, which were rapid firing every time we drove, causing the car to stall. We had to replace our brakes and our fuel injectors. Our passenger window will not open. Our gas reader does not work, we have to go by KM's. Our "Theft System" light comes on, whenever the car takes longer then 3 seconds to start. Should I go on?

Am I the only one with these problems? Let me know! hotnees@hotmail.com.
