2010 Chevrolet Colorado LT1 4x4 5.3 V8 from North America

Summary:

Best truck I've ever owned

Faults:

Only issues have been 2 broken wires in the extended cab doors (common in the first generation Colorado), an HVAC switch related to the air conditioning and a tire pressure sensor monitor in the driver's side rear tire.

Other than that, it's been a rock solid truck.

General Comments:

Probably the best truck I've ever owned in 30 years. The 5.3 V8 in a truck like this provides a ton of power to tow pretty much anything I want to. Handling is superb and can do 0-60 in under 7 seconds.

Only downside is the typical GM plastic-drenched interior, but I didn't buy it for luxury. It's been a bulletproof truck since I bought it in May, 2014 and I expect to put at least 150,000 miles on it before I trade it. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I wasn't aware they put the 5.3 V8 in the Colorado.

From 2009-2012, they offered the 5.3 V8 as an upgrade from the 3.7 inline 5 cylinder motor. It was an expensive option, so not many were ordered that way.
