2002 Chevrolet S-10 LS Z-R2 4.3 from North America

Summary:

A very aggressive stance

Faults:

My only problem with my Z-R2 so far is that the handle to open the third door broke. Other than that it has been a great truck.

General Comments:

I love my Z-R2 it is one of the few trucks you can buy out on the market now that look aggressive off the showroom floor. The one thing I really like about my truck is the fact that it is very stable even though it sits higher than most trucks. If I had to do it over again I would have bought my Z-R2 in a heart beat I love my truck. (Hint if you are looking for more power spring for the full air-aid intake system with a K&N filtercharger with a full exhaust it really turns the 4.3 into a strong running engine.

I agree with all previous comments. The K & N air filter was purchased from the Chevy dealer, which saved me about half of the total cost when I compared to the K & N distributor. Also, a flow master exhaust system increased the engines performance.

I agree.. the Zr2 I have had over a year and I love it.. I tow a little two horse trailer handles like there is nothing behind it.. I will never get rid of this truck... Gas miles are a little bad, but I am dealing with it and I agree with the third door handle...

2002 Chevrolet S-10 ZR2 4.3 from North America

Summary:

Sporty looks, good driving manners, and enough power for Colorado mountains, I like it

Faults:

With less than 3000 miles on this truck I have nothing to report at this time.

General Comments:

The light colored gray interior is very hard to keep clean.

Love the head unit except the CD play runs hot. Overall sound quality is very poor.

With no way to shift the transfer case into neutral this truck cannot be towed behind an RV. (Bad idea Chevy)

Unless you got a manual transmission.

2002 Chevrolet S-10 from North America

Summary:

A good buy for hauling and transportation

Faults:

This vehicle has given perfect service since day one.

The dealer service was exceptional in the purchase of the S-10. I got it from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine. No, I am not related nor did I know anyone at Classic.

General Comments:

This vehicle has a 6 cylinder engine with an automatic and has a quick burst of power.

The fifteen inch wheels sit you up in the air and one can see eye to eye with the SUV people.

The little standard AM-FM radio has a great sound.

The gas mileage in town has been from sixteen MPG to 18 MPG.

The one drawback was it did not come with a lock on the glove box.

Yeah, I don't like it either.

Emergency flashers are supposed to stop flashing when you step on the brake if they are the same as the brake lights.

2002 Chevrolet S-10 LS 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

Overpriced for mediocre quality

Faults:

The clutch slave cylinder is failing and causing the clutch to slip at 8600 miles.

General Comments:

There are already several rattles and buzzes in the cab. Not put together too tightly I guess.
