1998 Chevrolet S-10 LS review from North America
"Just a very cheaply made truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Hmmm... where do I start??
Not long after getting it, the oil pan leaked oil.
Not long after that, it leaked coolant.
Then the exhaust manifold came loose and the smell of exhaust in the cab was horrible.
The U-joints needed to be replaced at 30,000 and are now going bad again.
And worst of all, the entire transmission locked up 100 miles after the 36,000 mile warranty was up!! The whole transmission needed to be replaced (luckily, they fixed it anyway).
General comments?
All of these problems were fixed by GM with very little problems with their service.
However, the fact that the U-joints are going again, as well as the exhaust manifold still proves that it's a horrible vehicle.
Who knows how long this transmission will last...
