1997 Chrysler Intrepid Sport review from North America
"Best car I ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had this car now for 5 and 1/2 years.
The plug wires had to be replaced.
Speakers have crackling in them on one side.
Brakes have been replaced only once, and I am a person hard on brakes.
Body of car is now showing signs of rust and needs some minor body work.
Power window in backseat driver's side does not work, so I disconnected it as it went down but not up.
I replaced the timing belt at 180,000 (was not broke) and one of the bearings was replaced.
Windshield wipers at times in wet weather do not operate like they should.
Converter on exhaust was replaced; an after market one was bought as an original was $900.
A/C is not working, but I see from other reviews there is a secret warranty to fix it (I'd like to know more about that).
General comments?
This is a great working car, has the power when you need it, and is not hard on gas.
Starts great in the winter, and when you have 4 studded snow tires to drive on, winter driving is a breeze.
Lots of room inside, and the heater keeps it warm all over.
