2000 Chrysler LHS review from North America

Last year the heater went out and cost several hundred dollars to fix.

This year around 89,000 the ignition cylinder suddenly went out. Without any warning I was left stranded with a key that would not turn in the ignition. Again several hundred dollars to fix.

Just after the ignition cylinder issue occurred, the driver's side window suddenly started slipping out of the track. Bracket at bottom of window that holds it in the track broke off. Took me about 2 weeks to get an appt. and get in to get fixed and I drive thru 2 toll booths on every trip to and from work--with no window that was a nuisance.

The wheels have always been an issue--constantly have to put air in the tires. The tires for this car are very expensive because of the size. All 4 chrome center hub covers on the wheels are long gone.

There has been an issue for some time now with a worn bearing on a front end stabilizer bar which is another $200 + job.

The cruise control sometimes refuses to work.

Last week my A/C unit went out. $787 if I want to repair. I don't. I had a Buick LeSabre before with over 100,000 miles. Windows never broke, key never quit working, heater never died.

Great car, beautiful leather seats, massive trunk, beautiful wheels. But it all falls apart and is expensive to repair.
