2008 Citroen C2 VTR 1.6i 16v SensoDrive from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Brilliant car - I love it

General Comments:

I previously owned a 05 C3 Exclusive 1.6i 16v SensoDrive, and when I was due to change it in April 08, Citroen had stopped doing the C3 Exclusive with the SensoDrive Gearbox; only with a Fully Automatic Gearbox. So after driving a SensoDrive for 3 years, I decided to have the C2 VTR SensoDrive, as I didn't want to go back to a Fully Automatic car.

I have owned the car now 6 weeks, and I am well impressed. The car feels really powerful and I haven't revved it past 3,000rpm yet, as it's not run in, but it's going great and the fuel consumption; well I am shocked it's doing so well already, as it's suppose to get better after 3,500 miles But I am now getting over 40mpg, and I had 55mpg on a long run last week, so overall I am well impressed.

The seats are sport style seats, but they feel a lot more comfy than the ones in the C3.

I love the looks of it, with its sporty styling and 16 inch Cheetah alloy wheels with low profile tyres.

I had the car in Poseidon Blue, which is no longer available on the C2 VTR SensoDrive.

My dealer has been great. They really went out of their way for me.

The only thing I do miss from the C3 are the 2 back doors, cruise control, and the auto lights and wipers, but it's not the end of the world I suppose.

The mileage was 94 miles when I got it, due to the car had to be taken to get my hand controls fitted, but I'm glad really the car was taken on a good run before I had it.

I have just owned my car just over a year with just 5500 miles on it, and it's running really well. Fuel consumption is getting better.

Do get the anti pollution light coming on now and again. It goes off after 15 minutess. I have told the dealer, and they told me these sensors are so sensitive it only takes a bit of dirt or moisture in the petrol to set it off.

The car still runs the same when the light comes on no problem.

Car is still going great. I took it in for its 2 year service at nearly 10,000 miles. Fuel consumption has gotten better since the service. I get about 54mpg on a run and between 40 - 45mpg around town.

I changed my C2 back in April 2011 for a new C3, as my 3 year contract came to an end, and as my review showed, I was well happy with it from day 1, and still miss it now. I never had any problems with the SensoDrive. I so miss that gearbox on this new C3.

I did 14,400 miles in the 3 years, and it never let me down. It had its 1st MOT back in February, 2 months before it turned 3 years old, and it flew through with only 1 advisory, and that was for 2 rear tyres, which is part of wear and tear.

If I could have kept it, I would have, as I was very happy with it.
