I live in Puerto Rico, and I have a Daihatsu Rocky SE 1.6L. I do not have a problem to get the parts; on the Internet you can buy some of them. You must remember that Daihatsu and Toyota are partners. Many parts from Toyota fit in Daihatsus. For example, if you have an ignition problem and you cannot find the ignition for the Rocky, you can use one from a Toyota Tercel 89-92, and make a little adapter. The Tercel has the coin integrated with the module, and all you have to is cut the rotor shaft. I do not like to write too much, but if someone has a Daihatsu Rocky I can help. My email is urbano.25@hotmail.com

Good morning... I just bought a 1990 Daihatsu - Rocky. My oil icon is on, and a rambling noise is heard. Any idea what it is?

I would appreciate any comments.

Thanks.

I just bought a '90 Rocky SE. It sat for 6 years before I bought it, heard the rumbling noise from the distributor. Had to replace the distributor; mechanical advance system destroyed. Now she runs like a champ!

I have one, and I live in the Virgin Islands. Check out WARFS online (Worldwide Association of Rocky, Feroza, Sportrak & Freeclimber II Owners).

Rockauto.com has a few parts. Good quality and price. I ordered a head gasket kit, but when I got it, it had about 10 extra gaskets at no extra charge. Cost $57.00 plus $10.00 shipping. It was at my door in 5 days.

Will the Toyota Tercel alternator fit a Daihatsu Rocky 1.6?

I have heard that they will, but you have to modify them by shortening the shaft. Not sure, but did see it in one of the reviews from a guy from the Islands.
