1997 Dodge Intrepid ES review from North America
"I have thoroughly enjoyed having this vehicle, and would buy another like it in an instant!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
So far I've only had to do minor things, mostly nickel and dime stuff. Replaced rear auto-adjusting brakes with rebuild kits.
Oil changes every 3,500 to 5,000 miles.
Replaced thermostat and gasket.
Replaced spark plugs and wires.
Replaced headlight bulbs and bodies.
Replaced hydraulic arms on hood.
Replaced air filter.
Replaced left rear backuplight plug in due to corroded contact piece.
Replaced fuel filter.
General comments?
I haven't really had any major problems with this vehicle since I have owned it.
I often don't mind taking it on long trips, with having enough room to be inside it for hours on end (Drove from PA to OK straight through with stops for gas and food, 18 hours)
It accelerates like a performance car should, very quick, with no hesitation.
The sound system I feel could be improved with also perhaps adding speakers in the rear doors as well.
