To turn off the daytime running lights when the car is on just put the hand brake on, it works in my dodge.

Daytime running lights: Dodge probably commonalized the electrical harnesses for Canada and US for the last years, but forgot to update the driver's manual instructions from previous years where US models could turn off lights.

I'm interested in adding more power and getting better mileage. If the person who left the comment about the Tornado air flow thingie reads this, could you please give me a website or manufacturer for it? I know about the plugs and already have the K&N filter.

You don't gain 50 horsepower with a K&N filter, platinum plugs, and that joke of a product tornado apparatus. At most you got 10-20 hp increase if that, because the tornado does nothing, but make it more difficult for air to get into the engine because its being held up by this spinning device, and having air spun around before entering the intake manifold does nothing for mileage or performance. Its basically a big waste.

To move air properly, you get a K&N filter, freer flowing exhaust, or get a turbo or supercharger.

Try to find a mechanic in your area that does modifications. They will know how to fix it so your day lights will turn off when your car is in park (automatic) or with the e-brake on (manual).

Whoever posted about the his neon being 152 hp and going up to 198 you could not be farther from the truth. The only true thing in there is that you wasted money. A) Don't put platinum plugs in our cars. NGK V-Powers are the way to go. B) A K&N filter is the best, but no where near the gains you posted. C) That tornado thing is a scam and say goodbye to however much you just wasted. D) And finally, all 03+ neons, which is you Mr. 198 HP, have NGC... for all you people that have no idea what that is... is resets your ECU to stock after your mods therefor making your hardearned money wasted... either go Megasquirt or turbo or sell it and get an SRT-4.

Day time running lights. Remove D.R.L.fuse and or relay.

To the person that posted on Oct 5. There is no way, shape or form that you get 32mpg on a 2005 SXT with automatic in the city. I don't care what you did to the car or what you say, it is not possible.

And to the other person that posted about the tornado and all the other stuff; don't you think if that horsepower gain was possible with those mods, that the factory would have done that!

I had an SXT in 02' Automatic, in the city it would average 22 mpg. Pretty crappy. 28 on the freeway. The 03 SRT4 gets better mileage at 23 in the city and 31 on the freeway.

Tornadoes DON'T WORK!!! Don't waste your money!! K & N's are only good for reusing. They do not improve your gas mileage! In the little fuel economy club I am in, we try everything we can find. On a 94 Metro we saw an improvement of -.36 mpg with a K & N and a -2 mpg on the tornado.

I have a 2005 Dodge Neon. It seems it has DRL because the headlights come on when I first start it. How do I disable this function? I already looked in the fuse box and power distribution control box under the hood. The fuse box has places for two DRL relays, but that's it. No relays are in there. Help!

With most cars, you can disable the daytime running lamps WHILE PARKED by engaging the parking brake before you start the car.
