I have a white 1995 Dodge Spirit 2.5 with the gold package, and I can tell you it's served me quite well. It's not fancy, but I do get compliments on the appearance from time to time (I have white-letter tires, and that makes a difference). And I can understand that being 16, you may want a Celica. But this way, it's a lot easier to take your friends with you when you want to kick it somewhere. I got my Spirit in 3/97 @ 45,100 miles and she's still going strong @ 94,000. The head gasket, recently replaced, has been the only major problem. Best wishes to you!

I'm supposed to be getting a Dodge Spirit in a few days, and as I was expecting a Dodge Stratus, I was a little disapointed at first. At 17, it's hard to find a decent car without having to worry about a lot of problems. But the comments from everyone on this site have made me feel a little better, and it sounds like a reliable, comfortable car. Thanks!

I have a 1995 Dodge Spirit and honestly it's a great little car. It has a 3.0L V6 and it moves good, especially since it has over 178,000 miles on it. The only thing that is wrong is that the trans. slips when it's cold and it always does not want to shift back to 1st gear when you stop, so you have to do it manually.

My car is a dark green 1995 Dodge Spirit with the 2.5 liter engine and the 3-speed automatic. I got it in June of 2003 and up until now is an excellent auto. Right now the Spirit has just over 59,000 miles and has a lot of life left in it. Obviously it's not the most popular car, but it is very comfortable, roomy, and has decent performance.

I got my 1995 Dodge Spirit (4 cyl., 3 speed auto) in August and have only put 8,000 miles on it, but it is one of the most reliable used cars I have had. I know others who have had Spirits and been very pleased. It is not uncommon to see them with over 175,000 to 200,000 miles. It is simply good, reliable point A to point B transportation.
