1989 Eagle Premier L.X. review from North America
"Lemon"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to replace rear brake cylinders and rear brakes, battery, and I will soon have to replace the front brakes because they warped when the back were inoperable.
All tires worn badly due to bad alignment and one day, while driving on freeway, car started shaking violently due to "split seams" in 2 tires. had to get all tires replaced.
I was concerned about the pickup of the car for a while, but took it into tire shop (where I got all tires replaced) and they checked my air filter and told me a rat had been living in it.
Had to get serpentine belt changed. need new heater core, antifreeze has been leaking into car from vents, also, I've been very dizzy lately had to stop driving it I just found out about leak and have been driving car for 4 months.
Windshield also fogs up.
Drivers side window off tracks.
General comments?
For a V6, this car has no power. I can't even speed with this thing.
I wasn't expecting much out of a car this old, but I was expecting a car that would get me where I needed to go with minimal health risks, which it did not.
I bought the car for $999 and have put over $2000 into it in repairs. still not drivable.
