1997 Eagle Vision TSi 3.5L 24v from North America

A good solid vehicle

Faults:

Water Pump had to be replaced at 90,000 miles.

Driver side door water seal comes out of position all the time.

Fuel economy is slipping. Not sure of the cause.

In need of ATF change.

Could use a checkup to see if any other problems are hidden.

1997 Eagle Vision TSi 3.5 V6 from North America

Summary:

My money was very well invested

Faults:

So far, I haven't had any problems with my car. I had my car for five years and never had any problems with it. It is truly a beautiful car and I plan to stick with it for another ten years. It is a very reliable, powerful machine. I take care of my Vision as if it were my newborn. In fact, my son was born exactly eleven days after I bought it. This car is not a lemon. It is truly a work of art! It is considered a lemon if you don't take care of it. The only investment I put into this car is the usual gas, new tires, new battery and all the other nick-knacks that goes in owning a car. Cars don't last for ever. Just as a baby need his diaper changed, a car needs to have one of its parts changed! Don't you think?

General Comments:

I just love the way this car performs, especially on the freeway. Very fast and powerful. It's also very roomy.

1997 Eagle Vision esi 3.5 V6 from North America

Summary:

Excellent choice in a 4 door sedan

Faults:

The only things that have gone wrong with this car would be a small electrical problem pertaining to the power windows. The drivers window would sometimes not work, or would go down or up whenever it felt like doing so. I took the vehicle to the dealer and it was fixed under warranty, about a $450 cost to them. Other than that the car is excellent, it is up to 70mph 1/2 way up the on-ramp to the freeway, no problem. The car looks, drives, and feels like a much more luxurious vehicle without the high price tag.

General Comments:

The car's integrity is excellent.

The fuel economy could be better.

I bought a 1997 Eagle Vision ESI about a year and a half ago. It had about 50,000 miles on, and it has been a money pit ever since. Tape player, Tie Rods, bearings, EGR Valve, Freeze plugs, thermostat, front brakes and rear drums, break hoses, wheel cylinders, sway bars, Air compressor, and all new tires all had to be replaced among numerous other things before I hit 70000 miles. I put at least half the cost of the cost of the car into it since I bought it.

Be careful when buying this car. Me- I will never buy a Chrysler product again, let alone a vision.

Faults:

So far, nothing.

General Comments:

Chrysler seems to have fixed most of the bugs with the original LH cars. My 1993 Vision had a few problems, but this one has been perfect. An engineering winner.

I purchased my '97 Vision TSi as a replacement for a Shelby Lancer, and I haven't been let down yet. With the exception of replacing a water pump, the car has been trouble-free. The power is strong and immediate, and the Autostick is great for helping with snow, as well as the occasional stop-light launch. I love the seats and the Spacial Imaging system in the stereo (I had to replace an aftermarket CD head unit for the OEM AM/FM/Cass/CD head).

In short, the car is great. It's a little bigger than I would normally drive, but the handling belies its size. It's a great car!
