2005 Fiat Adventure 1.8 from Dominican Republic

Summary:

Excellent Vehicle

Faults:

Front right power windows went crazy at 5,000KM repaired under warranty by the house.

General Comments:

It's a very comfortable car... its like a small SUV.. very low gas consumption for a 1.8 L, approx. 40KM/ per gallon with th A/C in the city and on high ways about 48-50 Km/ per gallon.

It's a very stable vehicle in high ways, a lot of cargo space, haves a nice sound system.

Very good vehicle when rains, flooded roads are not a problem for this car... very powerful engine for its kind.

A very nice looking designs, interior materials are excellent, it's a very complete vehicle. Just love FIAT.

12 years have passed and this Fiat is still in the family with over 200k km on it, major paint issues, lots of electrical problems (basically with the power windows), lots of issues with the A/C (replaced several times, currently not working).

Very expensive spare parts (bad dealer service in this country).

This Fiat is still running and overall has done its work.

Aiming to purchase a Toyota...

Wow you kept it for 12 years...

But you're right, spare parts for Fiats are expensive down in DR, and service is costly.

I was thinking of buying a Panda recently, but changed my mind due to some reviews; they're good cars though, but maintenance is expensive.

Summary:

Great car at a price which is unbelievable

Faults:

Nothing so far.

General Comments:

It's a car with great suspension and chassis. Driving this car is a driver's pleasure. It's a Semi SUV car and gives me about 8.5-9kmpl in the city and about 13kmpl on highway with the A/C on for more than 90% of the time.

The car is relatively new so, this is the only feedback I can give as of now. I am very happy with the dealer response.
