1998 Fiat Punto 60s review from UK and Ireland
"Cheap nippy town car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Head gasket blew at 30,000 miles.
Drivers window mechanism broke at 10,000.
Drivers seat frame split when new.
General comments?
I have lowered the car by 40mm and upgraded to 195/40 r15 tyres which has improved the cars road holding no end.
It is probably the quickest 1.2 standard model car on the road, but must be revved high to achieve any performance.
A K&N air filter conversion improved throtal response and economy.
