"A death trap"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Transimisson went at 40000 miles.

Door lock broke, fixed twice.

Motor in the window went three times.

When you put the blinker on the wipers don't work.

And last but not least, the car had an electrical fire when I was driving with my 3 small children in the car where all windows would not open, door locks failed, trunk would not open.

Ford no longer makes the replacement harness to fix it and it's not covered under insurance so I'm out $7500 for my car unless a junk yard some where comes up with the part. I have had a nationwide search out for 2 months for the part with no luck.

General comments?

Ford are the worst and so are their cars.

I've owned two or three Fords in my life and they are the best cars I've ever owned. I still own a Ford. I had a Chevy or two before also, it sucked.

If you read other reviews you'd notice that only two or three of them have frowns by them and all the rest have smiley faces by them or a straight face on a couple.

I see a pattern here. Called lack of maintenance. Ford specifies that the tranny fluid be replaced every 30,000 miles. Somehow, I have a feeling it wasn't done. Lack of maintenance, trashed tranny.

If you experienced electrical problems consistently, it's obvious that your dealer was suffering a cranial rectal inversion. (If you took it there) Any competent dealer would see this and condemn the main harness. As far as finding another one, I could have one tomorrow. Maybe your salvage yard is suffering the same inversion noted above.

Don't be so quick to condemn Ford. It appears that you may not have held up your end of the bargain, either.
