1994 Ford Mustang V6 review from North America
"Mustang's are as bad as the rest of Ford cars"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Check engine light on at 3500 miles
Three sets of tires in four years (front ones were bad not from burning rubber)
Taillights paint faded.
Clutch needed to be replaced
Repairs totaled over $7000.
General comments?
At 3500 miles the check engine light came one. I had 4000 in repairs int the first 2 years, all under warranty, but repairs too a week minimum to fix. The alignment was off and after 4 alignments at 3 different locations. I contacted Ford and the denied there was a problem. I was on my Third set of tires in 4 years. I later found out that that Taurus' have the same problem. Ford finally had an independent investigator come to my house and test drive my car and look at the book of repairs. They gave me $2000 to purchase a new vehicle because they were tired of listening to me. I now have a Ranger again and that is only because I got a $15,000 truck for $11,000 after rebates and the $2000 Ford check. This is my second Ranger and I like it a lot. Fords are cheap, but you will not get anything for them on trades. My $17,000 Mustang was worth $7,000 in trade after 3 years, when I tried to get a Toyota.
