Original poster here. I agree with all of you. The reputation of the Ranger rivals the Toyota Hilux of the 80s, and Ford shouldn't remove the Ranger from their lineup.

I am glad to see there are so many Ford Ranger enthusiasts. If you do have a Ford Ranger, or would like know more about them, please join.

To mr 22:49. I am the original poster. I have not heard anyone have the issue you have stated here. I know quite a few people with 2011 Ranger and have yet to report any issue with the 4L manual.

What is the axle ratio for this truck, 3.73 or 4.10?

OP here.

My truck has 3.55 8.8" Open Differential, which is the standard gear for the 4L SOHC with 2WD.

My boss is trading his Honda Accord in on a 2011 Ranger this Friday. He traded his Honda CRV for a new 2010 Escape a year ago, and has become a real fan of Fords. He is getting a super-cab with the 4.0 V-6. After having owned 4 Rangers, I highly recommended one. None of mine ever had a single problem. Great trucks!!

The link doesn't work. I had a Ranger but gave it up. Stupidest thing I ever did.

V6 stick 85 I believe. It was still running strong.

Maybe they will reopen the Ford plant in Detroit and make more of these.

Um yeah. The Ranger is back already, you can buy a 2019 model now. Not the same truck Ford stopped building seven years ago, though.

Wrong, the link DOES work, although the person who posted it has long since vanished from that forum...
