"A brilliant classic with a V6 roar"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Rear nearside suspension bangs over bumps in the road. Rear wiper motor stopped working. Brakes effective when used hard, but spongy at all other times.

General comments?

I had the engine re-bored to a 3.1, fitted Kent fast road cams and fit unleaded cylinder heads. So if if didn't go like stink before it certainly does now. The handling and steering and high speeds and sharp bends is brilliant. The cars good fun when it's wet on the road it power slides with no effort whatsoever, roundabouts are brilliant fun. However the cars interior is now showing it's age, the dashboard has cracked due to the sunlight and the drivers seat is worn.

Hi I've been an xr4i fan and owner for the past six years

on the 2.8 v6 you don't need to spend money on unleaded cylinder heads as the engine can take unleaded and no damage would be done.

It also sounds like you need new rear suspension, but I do agree that the v6 roar is pure heaven.

I've turbo charged mine and let me tell you with my foot welded to the floor it out runs a porshe in third without trying and that's no lye.

Anyway my sierra is calling so must go if you need any hints or tips send me an e-mail at chrismonstercars@hotmail.co.uk.
